SG-1 is the flagship team of Stargate Command. The original team consisted of Jack O'Neill, Daniel Jackson, Samantha Carter and Teal'c.

Overview
Type
SG-1's primary mission is to explore through the Stargate and gather advanced technology and information to defend Earth from threats such as the Goa'uld, Replicators and the Ori.
Formation
SG-1 was the first team formed when Stargate Command was created. The team then consisted of Jack O'Neill, Samantha Carter and Daniel Jackson and went on their first official mission through the Stargate to Chulak where they met a new member Teal'c.

Alternate Realities
- In an alternate reality visited by Daniel Jackson, SG-1 has alternate members although none are known. Gen. Jack O'Neill, Dr. Samantha Carter, Dr. Daniel Jackson and Teal'c were not members of the team. (SG1: "There But for the Grace of God")
- An alternate reality SG-1 arrived at Stargate Command had Martouf as a member along with Daniel Jackson and Cameron Mitchell, Dr. Fraiser was also a member, but may have been an unofficial part of the team working on a specific mission. (SG1: "Ripple Effect")
