Overview
The planet is a forested world rich in flora that can be used for medicinal purposes. The people on the planet are descendants of the Chagatai people of Mongolia theorised to be taken from Earth around the time of Genghis Kahn's occupation. The planet's Stargate is surrounded by some ruins and the people hid their women from the sight of "demons who brought them to the planet, indicating that the planet was once occupied by the Goa'uld. History
The people of the planet are believed to have been brought to the planet thousands of years ago by the Goa'uld. Eventually the Goa'uld left the planet and the people had to fend for themselves. The tribes warred with each other and kept use of the old ways. In 1997 SG-1 visited the planet and met with the Shavadai tribe, learning of their oppression of women. Samantha Carter was kidnapped by the Shavadai tribes chief's son, Abu to be traded for a woman that he was in love with, however he was unable to trade for her and had to settle for gold in return. The rest of SG-1 came after her and rescued her. Due to SG-1's actions the Shavadai tribe decided to negate their law to hide women away and the females of the tribe were allowed to show their faces in public, however this appears to be the extent of the changes.
