Ribs are the long curved bones which form the rib cage. When Jack O'Neill and Samantha Carter were sent through the Antarctica Stargate O'Neill broke some ribs on landing. Colonel Everett Young cracked some ribs when gating into Destiny. Chloe Armstrong broke a rib during a snowboarding accident and Morrison had a rib broken when attacked by a creature while offworld.
