Ramirez is a member of the United States Air Force stationated on Icarus Base. In 2009, during a surprise attack by the Lucian Alliance, he along with 80+ other members of the base where forced to evacuated through the Stargate to the Ancient vessel Destiny. (SGU: "Air, Part 1")
