The Pangarans are a race of humans from Pangar.
Overview
The Pangarans have large research projects directed towards medicine, particularly their miracle drug Tretonin. They also have wide archaeological projects on the old Goa'uld temples and structures on their planet. (SG1: "Cure")
History
The Pangarans were brought to their planet possibly by the Goa'uld System Lords Ra or Shak'ran. Around 300 years ago, Shak'ran was defeated and the Pangarans were free, Ra imprisoned the Tok'ra queen Egeria under a temple on the planet. 200 years later the Pangarans discovered a temple built by Ra and the Stargate. 60 years ago they found a hidden chamber under the temple and a Goa'uld queen in stasis and began to use her for medical experiments ten years later and created Tretonin 30 years ago. In 2002 the Pangarans made contact with the Tau'ri and shared the Tretonin, SG-1 discovering how it was made and contacted the Tok'ra. The Pangarans were given the solution to the problems they were facing and cured their people. (SG1: "Cure")
