P3X-888 is a planet in the Milky Way galaxy and the original homeworld of the Goa'uld and the Unas where both of these species evolved.
Overview
The planet has as least two moons and is thickly forested with numerous lakes serving as home to the local Goa'uld symbiotes. These primitive symbiotes jump out of the water to take the Unas as hosts. (SG1: "The First Ones")
History
At some point long ago the Goa'uld once evolved in the primordial waters of the planet. They took Unas as hosts and eventually figured out how to activate the Stargate and left the planet. The SGC had an archaeological outpost on this planet to study the primitive Goa'uld until it was abandoned when it was discovered that the planet was inhabited by Unas. (SG1: "The First Ones")
