"We're talking nanites...I mean, organically assembling each body inside out, starting at the molecular level."
Rodney McKay

The Organic Asurans are a group of humans constructed cell by cell from nanites.

Overview.gifOverview

Each one of them are constructed at the molecular level by nanites from organic material making them essentially human. Some of the nanites remained in their systems to make repairs when necessary. These Asurans lacked the increased strength of their non-organic counterparts as well as having finite life spans and were incapable of ascension. (ATL: "This Mortal Coil", "Ghost in the Machine")

History.gifHistory

Members of Niam's faction created organic Asuran duplicates of Colonel Sheppard's team and Dr. Elizabeth Weir in order to research into humanity and discover how to ascend. These duplicates eventually learned of their true existence and sacrificed themselves o allow their counterparts to escape from capture. Sometime later the remainder of Niam's faction attempted to digitally ascend but ultimately failed and went to Atlantis in order to make new bodies, however had to settle for organic bodies, but they were not made and the Asurans were deactivated in the vacuum of space.
