History
Langara was once a research planet for the Goa'uld Thanos who created a small amount of Naquadria in a laboratory and was killed in an explosion. Thousands of years later three human continents emerged which eventaully entered into a cold war status, each experimenting on different weapons and technology. When the Kelownans discovered their Stargate as well as a supply of Goa'uld technology, they met with Earth and asked for military technology in order to gain an advantage, however Earth refused and they were forced to use a Naquadria bomb which forced the other nations to the negotiation table. (SG1: "Meridian", "Shadow Play")
When the Goa'uld Anubis arrived, he gather all the mined Naquadria and began executing the Kelownan officials and leaders. The Kelownans helped organize a counter offensive against the Goa'uld and with the help of Stargate Command and the other System Lords defeated Anubis. Upoon discovering that their planet was on the verge of being discovered, the Langarans worked together to build a Deep undergound Excavation Vehicle in order to stop the conversion of Naquadah into Naquadria which would eventually destroy their planet. (SG1: "Homecoming", "Fallout")
Over time the Langarans built a power generation facility which drew power from the planets core and established a base where the Stargate was located. The Lucian Alliance attempted to negotiate with Langaran in order to use their facility to dial Destiny however they refused. Homeworld Command also attempted negotiations but when learning that the Lucian Alliance had been in contact with the Langarans, took control of the facility attempted a dial out, but were prevented from doing so.
