Kevin Marks is a Major in the United States Air Force and a senior officer aboard several Earth vessels, including the USS Prometheus, the USS Odyssey, the USS Apollo, the USS Daedalus and most recently the USS George Hammond.

Personality
Morality and Wisdom
Marks has demonstrated strong loyalties to his commanding officers as he was very hesitant to leave officers and the ship behind to abandon when ordered to do so. He will also protect information from enemies to ensure safety of personnel and completeion of missions. He was also willing to trap himself aboard the Odyssey as it was being overrun by Replicators to find a way to stop them. (SG1: "Ethon", "Company of Thieves", Stargate: The Ark of Truth)
Abilities and Skills
Marks has served aboard every American-operated interstellar vessels (the USS Prometheus, the USS Odyssey, the USS Apollo, the USS Daedalus and the USS George Hammond) making him one of the most experienced officers in regards to Earth's fleet, if not the most experienced. He is well experienced in ship system such as flight controls, weapons, hyperdrive and auxiliary controls. (ATL: "The Daedalus Variations")

Notes
- Marks is one of only three recurring characters to appear in both the final episodes of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis (Unending and Enemy at the Gate) and to appear in the premier episode of Stargate Universe (Air, Part 1). The other two were Samantha Carter and Walter Harriman
