A Host is a being that serves as a survival method for symbiotes such as the Goa'uld and the Tok'ra. Hosts physical abilities such as strength and agility are increased when a symbiote takes control as well as supplementing the immune system of the host to provide perfect health. They can also change the hosts voice and make the eyes glow. The Goa'uld forcibly take the strongest, healthiest and most aesthetically pleasing humans as hosts while the Tok'ra will only take willing hosts regardless of their circumstances. Hosts generally have no control when the symbiote is in control, merely acting as an observer. The symbiotes secrete Naquadah into the host' Blood stream.
