Galaxy

A galaxy is a collection of stars and planets orbiting a central point. Galaxies are often groups in numbers such as the Local Group. Lt. Col. Carter postulated that there are hundreds of millions of galaxies in the known Universe. (SG1: "Reckoning, Part 2")

- An Unnamed Galaxy - located four million light years away, where SG-1 was accidently sent to, is known to the Replicators. This may have been the Ida galaxy.
- The Ancients launched a number of unmanned ships into the universe to seed Stargates. It is unknown exactly how many galaxies were visited by these ships. (SGU: "Air, Part 1")
