Overview
Physiology
The name "Furling" has often led to people believing that they may in fact covered in fur and the name often conjures up the physical appearance of cute and fuzzy, however nothing is known about their appearance. (SG1: "Paradise Lost", "200")
Technology
The Furlings also had some advanced technologies some of which still remain. Like the other members of the Alliance of Four Great Races the Furlings had advanced transportation technology consisting of a portal of energy similar to a Stargate. (SG1: "Paradise Lost")
History
The Furlings became members of the Alliance of Four Great Races along with the Ancients, the Asgard and the Nox, they too would meet with the others on a meeting planet to discuss interplanetary relations. At some point in the last 10,000 years they set up a Utopian society on a remote moon and invited races from across the galaxy, including a Goa'uld. The entire society killed themselves because of a plant the Goa'uld had brought with them in order to get the people to serve him. Martin Lloyd also added some Furlings to his movie of Wormhole X-treme! who appeared as short, furry koala-like creatures. (SG1: "The Torment of Tantalus", "The Fifth Race", "Paradise Lost", "200")
Behind the scenes
- A Furling skeleton was made to be included in Paradise Lost but was later removed from the scene.
