The Daniel Jackson was an Asgard science vessel under the control of the supreme commander Thor.
History
Thor was in the vicinity of Hala ensuring that all the Replicators were destroyed when the Asgard collapses Hala's star into a black hole. He discovered a Goa'uld Tel'tak near the planet and beamed out its two occupants, Teal'c and Samantha Carter. Thor then discovered that a grouping of Replicator cells had escaped and it then attacked the ship, infecting it with several Replicators. Thor followed the Replicators who went to Orilla, the new Asgard homeworld and co-ordinated an attack on the Replicator ship, however many Replicators rained down of the planet and began to replicate.

The Daniel Jackson was brought to Earth to remove the Ancient knowledge in Jack O'Neill's brain and save his life. O'Neill however used the ships systems to create a weapon that disables the bonds between the Replicator cells and destroys them. Thor modifies the ship to emit a pulse of energy the weapon uses and then destroys the Replictors on the surface. (SG1: "New Order, Part 1", "New Order, Part 2")
