Overview.gifOverview

Culture

The Byrsa have a primitive culture, relying on hiding when the Goa'uld arrive to harvest hosts as they have no means to fight them, only going as fast as their slowest member, not wanting to leave anyone behind. Their society if dictated by mandates and justice is met out by the Cor-ai, a trial in which the accuser would trial the accused. (SG1: "Cor-ai")

History.gifHistory

The Goa'uld would frequently show up on Cartago to take Byrsa as possible hosts. Teal'c accompanied Apophis to Cartago and was forced to kill a cripple man, an action he did so as to allow the Byrsa to escape much quicker. In 1998 Teal'c returned to Cartago with SG-1 and was accused by Hanno of killing his father and was put on the Cor-ai. When Jaffa showed up to harvest hosts, SG-1 helped fend them off and offered assistance for the future. (SG1: "Cor-ai")
