The Atlantis Gym is an area of Atlantis designated by the Atlantis expedition as a training and recreational facility.
Overview
The gym is located on the East pier approximately 1 mile away from the control tower. The gym is full of various equipment used by the expedition such as exercise bikes and Bantos rods. (ATL: "Hot Zone", "Spoils of War")
History
When a dangerous nanite virus was released into the city, Major John Sheppard and Teyla Emmagan were imposed under a self-contained quarantine in the gym. Later when Sheppard went to leave Dr. Elizabeth Weir had the gym locked. Ronon Dex and Teal'c engaged into an hour long sparring session with one another in the gym as member of the expedition took bets on the winner. (ATL: "Hot Zone", "Midway")
