Biography
Early life
When Perry was nine years old she was in an accident and was almost completely paralyzed being unable to walk or even feed herself and required a respirator to breathe. For years she had dreams about walking but was never able to recover. She obtained her PhD despite this and became one of the leading experts in hyperdrive technology. (SGU: "Sabotage")
Stargate Command
Perry began working with Stargate Command and was working with the team designing the next generation of hyperdrive technology in 2009. When Destiny was incapable of crossing the void between two galaxies, Perry used the communication stones to come aboard to help fix the problem, swapping bodies with Camile Wray and begin once again able to walk and feed herself. When one of Destiny's FTL engines was destroyed she figured it would help as the drive that was destroyed was damaged and slowed the ship. When the Nakai began an attack on the ship, Perry helped defend the ship in the control interface room. Perry also was able to kiss Rush, something she had always wanted to do. (SGU: "Sabotage")
When Rush and Young were on board an alien ship heading away from Destiny, Rush suggested that Perry come back aboard to help with the calculations in order to get Destiny to come after them. She swapped with Ginn, who went back to report to Homeworld Command, and got to work. Rush secretly supplied Perry with information about the bridge and how to access it. Perry helped the others move Destiny to get Rush and Young back. When she kissed Rush again, they were interrupted by Eli Wallace who informed Perry that sometimes it was difficult to remember she was in someone else's body. The Lucian Alliance soldier Simeon took an opportunity to kill Ginn and by extension killed Perry. (SGU: "The Greater Good", "Malice")
Destiny
Perry, and Ginn, had their consciousnesses somehow removed from their bodies and trapped within Chloe Armstrong's body, who was using the communication stones. Both consciousnesses were straining Chloe's body and Perry's being the weakest was unable to maintain control for very long. Rush came up with a plan to download bothPerry began appearing to Rush allowing them to interact, playing Chess in Rush's quarters. Perry came up with the idea of uploading Rush's consciousness into the ship computer using the Neural Interface Chair so the two could "physically" interact with one another. Perry however programmed the computer to only allow Rush to leave if he accomplished certain parameters, namely that he loved her. Eli had to quarantine both Perry and Ginn in the computer in order to free Rush which isolated them both from interacting with the rest of the crew. (SGU: "Seizure")
